Win The Steam Punk Online Casino Jackpot!

Steam Punk Heroes is a new nostalgia scene game from Genesis Gaming. A 5 reel, 25 pay line game, Steam Punk takes you back to the past – to the waning days of the 19th century.

Steam Punk culture is an era that leads you to the days of steam engines and basic electric machinery. If you’ve ever played Warcraft, you’ll recall the gnome technologies of barely working helicopters and robots.

In recent years, Steam Punk culture is having a comeback. Sci-Fi writer William Gibson has written many Steam Punk themed bestsellers. The Sherlock Holmes movies and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (featuring Sean Connery) are two great examples of Steam Punk culture.

The symbols are an electric power zeppelin, a compass, and other hard to describe machines that probably don’t exist. The Steam Punk Heroes logo is the scatter symbol. Scatter pays in any position and wins are multiplied by your total wager. The wild symbol is a “Wild” logo and it substitutes all symbols, except scatters. When one or more Wilds appear, the highest win is paid. Wilds substituting in a winning combination double the prize.

When 3 or more scatters appear, you’ve hit the Steam Punked Free Spins feature begins. You will be presented with 2 gears. Pull the handle to turn the gears. The left gear is your multiplier and the right gear determines how many free spins you will receive.

Match 5 Wilds and you’ve won the jackpot. You’ll end up with so many re-spins, that Steam Punk Heroes gives you many chances at the jackpot. Most of all, you’ll enjoy a cool, interesting scene from the past.

What is steam punk, you ask? Steam punk culture is derived from turn of the century America and UK. This is the industrial revolution. People had electricity, but it was new and exciting. Railroads allowed for transcontinental travel and our modern world was taking shape.

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman (2003) is perhaps the most popular of all steam punk movies. Most Sherlock Holmes movies and books involve steam punk. Holmes’ bronze compass is a steam punk piece that every fan will recognize. Holmes travels on trains, rides cars and occasionally on horseback – accentuating the change going on in Victorian England.

World of Warcraft’s dwarves and gnomes use steam punk technology in their inventions.Steam punk tech is known for “not always working” as Warcraft in-game engineers can attest to. And now you know that steam punk can win you jackpots!

Mobile Online Gaming Proves To Be a Winner For Ladbrokes

Ladbrokes has a long since had a presence in the worldwide gambling market, seemingly making the transition from traditional bricks and mortar betting shops to online gaming with ease. However, new figures released this month show that things are not well in the company’s digital division.

Profits in the digital sector dropped by 12.3% in December after a poor performance in poker and some unfavourable sporting results led to a disappointing drop of 3.5% in net revenue.

Ladbrokes boss Richard Glynn blamed results from events such as the King George VI chase at Kempton Park on Boxing Day, where five of the six favourites won, for masking the real progress of the digital business.

This comes as no surprise to industry pundits who predicted that Ladbrokes would struggle in the digital sector after deciding to turn down take-over bids from online companies such as 888 and Sportingbet and instead try to go it alone. Despite investing £25 million in its online offering, the digital strategy has yet to hit the mark.

Glynn however remains optimistic that the digital arm will see significant profit growth in 2012 as they spend a further £25 million on digital improvement including the launch of a new online sportsbook.

There was positive news for the company from the mobile gaming sector, which saw a 174% increase in income. It is widely believed that people who are using the mobile gaming tools from their smartphones will still use other forms of betting, making brand loyalty a key factor in 2012’s strategy.

Ladbrokes opened 29 new betting shops in 2010 and plans to roll out 40 new format stores later this year.
Ladbrokes offers video slot games, table and card games, scratch cards, arcade betting games and even live dealer games. The slot games are mostly branded with names like Marvel or popular movies like The Mummy and Rocky. The Marvel slots are connected to 4 progressive jackpots and are very popular among slot fans.

The live dealer games on Ladbrokes allow players to interact with a real casino dealer. The live dealer games are filmed in a casino studio, added a touch of reality to the betting. Scratch cards are popular with new gamblers and older players who are used to scratching lottery cards.

Playtech has released the perfect slot game for those who enjoy football and slots, experience the atmosphere of a football match in Football Fans slots.

Across the world people love football and therefore it comes as no surprise that there some fantastic online slots built on a football theme. Most games focus on the action on the field, but now Playtech have reversed the trend and built a game, Football Fans, which places the spectators at the centre of attention.

First players much choose a country, Germany, France, England, Spain, Brazil or Argentina. The high value cards are then painted in the chosen country’s colours. The wild symbol is a football and offers line payout of 5,000 coins. The other high paying symbols are a trio of male fans and a duo of female fans. The male crowds get loud and slightly rowdy during animations whilst the bikini wearing females provide entertainment of another sort. The game also features a glass of beer, top hat and air horn.

The game’s symbol is the scatter symbol, if it appears on the reels twice or more the player wins scatter payouts. If three scatter symbols appear the Penalty Kicks free spins bonus is triggered, 10 spins are given to the player and the feature can be retriggered. After each spin penalty kicks randomly turn symbols into wilds.

The game also has an interactive feature called Grab a Beer. A golden circle will appear on one of the fifteen spots on the reels. Then by clicking on the spot before the a spin the circle can be moved, if the beer symbol appears on the chosen spot then the player wins three times the total bet.

Other symbols include two cheerleaders with very revealing and interesting tops. You’ve never seen a football until you’ve seen these. The green hat and red horn offer good payouts if you match 5. Even the usual letters of the game are cool. The A, K, Q, J and numbers are painted green and yellow.

Football Fans is great for low and high rollers, it has 20 paylines with line bets ranging from 0.20 credits up to 500 credits making the maximum bet 10,000 credits. The game has a fun feel to it – it’s all about fans (for a change).

Yazino Casino Games Makes Social Gaming a Reality

Casino games now available on social networking sites are changing the way people gamble, according to social games specialist Yazino.

With the popularity of social gaming showing no signs of abating, it is clear that there is plenty of opportunity for an innovative and creative company to capture the attention of a growing audience.

Social gaming specialist Yazinohas been busy developing casino games that will enable players to compete and chat in real time across the web, iOS and Android devices via social media platforms such as Facebook. By taking classic casino games such as poker, the company has been able to produce games that are truly interactive, thus providing players with the interactive element that is very much in demand.

All seven of Yazino’s games are available on Facebook, and when launched direct the player to Yazino’s site. From here players can compete with their own list of Facebook friends and even have the option to create their own personal communities within the larger player base. This ability to create sub-groups allows players to form their own leagues, complete with leader boards. Combine this with the prospects of live chat and real-time gameplay across platforms and it seems Yazino are onto a winning combination.

Players in the US are unable to cash in on any winnings due to legislation in the States which has been all but outlawed online gaming. However, according to Yazino’s CEO Hussein Chahine, players are more than happy to accept this and even enjoy the “friendly competition” that has been created. Offering players the opportunity to play for free is one of the company’s main objectives, with offers and chips already being provided daily.  Said Chahine, “what we're trying to become is the pioneer of friendly competition...by reinventing gambling in a much more sophisticated way.”

Yazino is at the forefront of the latest craze – “social gambling”. Social gambling is the exact opposite of hard-care, high-stakes gambling. The players here are unlikely to spend their food money on social blackjack. These are the light gamblers who play occasional low-stakes games at home, with friends and in land-based casinos.

Yazino is catering to these players who are willing to play even if they can’t cash out their winnings. After the upcoming US elections, industry experts expect the US to move ahead on at least online poker legislation (as it was defined by a federal judge as a game of skill, not luck).

In-play sports betting leaders revealed by survey

Industry survey puts William Hill & Bet365 as leaders in the in-play sports betting market

A survey conducted by industry researcher Gambling Compliance has ranked Europe’s leading online betting firms by the quality and scope of its in-play sports offerings. Conducted throughout November and December 2011, researchers analysed the number of possible bets per event, as well as the amount of sports available for in-play betting.

Bet365, the family owned bookmakers offered by far the most varied choice to its punters, opening up odds on 20 different sports across 534 events. This was in comparison to Sportingbet on 358, Bwin on 317, Ladbrokes on 313 and William Hill on 297.

However, when it came to the amount of possible bets per event, William Hill was in a different league, with an average of 53, well ahead of Ladbrokes on 30, Sportingbet on 25, Bet365 on 24 and Bwin on 23.
Football proved to be the most popular sport for in-play betting, accounting for over two-thirds of the in-play bets placed during the months the survey was being carried out.  Basketball came in second, followed by tennis and volleyball.

In-play betting allows gamblers to bet on sporting events whilst they are taking place and has been heavily promoted by bookies such as William Hill and Bet365, whose advertising campaign features the well-known actor Ray Winstone.

It has been seen by some as the perfect way to drive growth in the industry as over the counter sales have remained stagnant in recent years. However, results released by William Hill have shown a growth of 11% in quarter four of 2011 for OTC sales, proving that the traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ betting shops are still very much in demand in the British market.

Both William Hill and Bet365 offer a lot more than in-play sports betting. Both gambling brands have slots games, table and card games and even live dealer games in their sites. Today’s gamblers want variety and betting firms are working hard to keep up with the rising demands of today’s bettors.

A typical player will bet on a sports game and then spin his favourite slot game and eventually end up with a pretty live dealer at a roulette table. Thanks to the internet, bettors are more aware than ever as to what is available.

What’s next after in-play? One must assume that William Hill and Bet365 are working on speeding up the live sports feeds that they receive. The faster they can pass on information to their customers, the more bets they can accept.
